Session 7

As they continued on their way to Stellar Tower, the heroes were caught in a heavy thunderstorm. Along the way, they came across a wrecked wagon and a goblin named Grimzik, who claimed to have been attacked by bandits. The heroes suspected something wrong, but there was no time for questioning, and together with the goblin they took refuge in an abandoned forest hut. After resting, they tried to find out more from Grimzik, whose testimony didn’t match the evidence found when they examined the wagon. At that moment, a group of armed men burst into the hut, demanding the goblin be handed over. Grimzik begged the heroes to save him. A fight ensued in which almost all of the attackers fell, but one of them managed to escape. The heroes caught up with him not far from the cabin and finished him off.

Back in the cabin, they tried to continue their conversation with Grimzik, but he was interrupted by Nameless. He decided to interrogate the goblin, using threats and psychological pressure. Under the onslaught, Grimzik revealed what had actually happened at the wagon: he turned out to be a skilled spellcaster who had been attacked by his own guards. Grimzik fought them off with powerful spells and fled into the forest. The wagon was carrying magical artifacts, including a certain crown that was to be delivered to a shop with large barrels in the Market district. Grimzik swore it was true, and begged for help getting his stuff back.

Distrust crept into the souls of the heroes. Nameless stepped out of the cabin into the rain to recover and cool off under the cold drops – he was having trouble controlling himself after contact with the cauldron. Raimi ordered Grimzik to undress, then took the form of a goblin and put on his clothes. Essu cast a control spell on the goblin and was about to go down into the basement with him, but Zorya stepped forward and said she would do it herself, then led the goblin downstairs.

The group brought one of the attackers to consciousness and Ramey in the guise of Grimzik began the interrogation. Just as they learned the location of the attackers’ camp, Zori’s scream came from the basement. A few seconds later, she made her way upstairs, writhing and muttering curses. She tried to go outside, but Nameless blocked her path and asked: “What was the name of that dragon book?”. Zorya hesitated, and Nameless, shocking everyone, punched her as hard as he could. Zorya flew back into the room and, falling to the floor, dropped the illusion – Grimzik was lying in front of the heroes in Zorya’s clothes.

As it turned out later, Grimzik had enchanted Zorya, took her form and changed into her clothes while the heroes were chasing the escaped bandit.

The fight began, which moved smoothly into the rain outside. The final blow to Grimzik came from Raimi, still in goblin form.
