Session 14

Erdal was lucky and drew a “Wish” card, which gave him the opportunity to make any wish he wanted. Erdal decided it would be better to start the adventure again. Time rewinded and the heroes found themselves back in the Library Tavern, right after their conversation with the bardess Aeliana. Having retained all knowledge of the events that had occurred, they decided not to waste any more time talking to the bardess and headed straight to the Dragon Cult Headquarters.

Taking the initiative this time, Tari approached the front entrance and, greeting the guard with the traditional Dragon Cult greeting, asked for an audience with the Master. The guard, though a bit surprised, still agreed and invited the heroes inside. Tari, accompanied by Erdal and Nameless as guards, made her way to the Master, while Aden, Danaya, and Name remained in the guest room. There, enjoying complementary drinks, they shortened their time by playing dice with the novice assigned to watch them.

Tari, already aware of the Master’s complex temperament, immediately confessed to him that she was an alien from Faerûn, but in that world she was also a member of the Dragon Cult. She told him that she had made a deal with Fregnard Blixen, promising to find the entrance to the Tower and free Zorya and Essa. The Master, upon reflection, agreed to help her on the condition that when she found the entrance to the Tower, she would be the first to tell him about it. He then handed over the original torn sheet from the book about the Tower and told her that the entrance was likely to be on a stone pedestal in the forest, which the heroes already knew about. Tari agreed to these terms and headed for the exit.

Meanwhile, Name and Aden had beaten the novice at dice to the point of leaving him without his robe. The novice, realizing he would no longer be accepted into the Cult, held a grudge and fled the house. Shrugging their shoulders, the heroes decided to rest and head to the stone pedestal in the morning.

After resting, the heroes set off and four hours later they arrived at the pedestal. Thanks to the Master’s clue and the information from the leaf, they realized that an offering had to be brought to activate the entrance to the Tower. Erdal determined that all the offerings were already in place and only one Mystery was missing. Placing it in the correct slot, the heroes were blinded by a bright light and found themselves once again in a new place.

Now they found themselves at a long table at an open-air feast. Night enveloped the world, and a motley crowd gathered around them. However, the heroes soon realized that they were in the bodies of completely different people. Only Tari, who held the medallion of Ptaris, was in the form of a ghost and felt her heart fill with hatred for everything around her. After questioning the other participants of the feast, the heroes found out that they were in the camp of ancient warriors preparing for a decisive battle with the armies of Tiamat, which took place many centuries ago. To their surprise, among the warriors were Essu and Zorei, who seemed to have completely forgotten about their adventures with the heroes in Stellar Tower.

Tari, deciding to check the true nature of what was happening, touched one of the feast guests with her medallion and saw that everyone present looked like dead men who had fallen on the battlefield. There were also Fregnard Blixen, who also appeared to her in the guise of a dead man, while Silarion Eltarin appeared alive

Before the heroes could figure out what was going on, a knight in shining armor and with translucent wings flew into the feast. He gave a fiery speech to everyone, inspiring them to battle. Tari, deciding to test him with her medallion, touched it, and in the same instant the entire clearing was once again illuminated by a bright light. The adventurers were knocked out of their vision.
