Raven Shadows: The Chase for Essu

The companions fought fiercely against Essu and the zombies. In the midst of the battle, a tiefling girl with a deity’s emblem on her chest appeared in the clearing. She joined the fight and quickly took down a couple of zombies. Meanwhile, Essu rendered Tari unconscious, grabbed her, and disappeared among the trees. The adventurers quickly searched the burning village, found no hostages, and set off in pursuit, but Essu had vanished.

Deciding to rest, the group got to know the tiefling. It turned out that Saya was a priestess of the Raven Queen, the same deity Essu worshiped. However, according to her, he had strayed from the goddess’s teachings and gathered an undead army. The adventurers assumed that their only chance to save Tari and the hostages was to head to the old Sowlins’ village, where a temple of the Raven Queen lay in the dungeon.

On their way, a snowstorm caught them, but by sunset, they managed to reach the village. Tracks led to the dungeon, and the group descended into the temple.
